【摘要】
繼製作、主辦「悸動──調變王福瑞」VR展覽之後，在地實驗與「台北電影節」合作，主辦「數位共感：法國VR特展」於VA Hub盛大舉辦。除了延續VA Hub（虛擬藝術跨界實驗基地）2020年開幕展「迷幻死藤水──薩滿之旅VR展」相同的原則──較一般影像展覽的展期更長──之外，加以本次將選映影片數量極大化。「數位共感」在XR國際策展顧問郭秭鈞協同「法國在台協會」，及其邀請協辦、贊助本展的法國藝文機構「法國數位體驗製作人協會」、「法國藝文推廣總署」與「法國國家電影聯盟」協助，以及「國家文化藝術基金會」補助的資源挹注，在地實驗與台北電影節選映十部法國參與投資或出品的VR。影片發行年份自2017年至今年（2021）首映者皆有。跨度四年的出品年份，可以看出VR從當年360VR影像語言，發展迄今，多為容許互動，甚至觀者藉由互動掌握故事節奏的6DoF VR[1]。
在VR互動與方位感測技術躍升的同時，VR放映的設備，以及服務觀眾的現場人力、展期間常駐的維運工程人員等人力成本，都比過去高漲。在鮮少先例可循的情況下，「數位共感：法國VR特展」正是企圖錨定VR展映成本與收入邊際效益的實踐。

[BRIEF]
Bearing elements in Ayahuasca- The Shamanic Exhibition, the opening exhibition at VA Hub in 2020, the exhibition duration of Digital Common Sense is longer than regular film festivals, with a view to including as many projects as possible. 10 VR productions funded or produced by French companies are selected by ET@T and Taipei Film Festival, for the grand event Digital Common Sense, which would not be possible without the help from Ellen Kuo, a consulting curator in international XR exhibitions, in collaboration with Bureau Français de Taipei. There are also supports from art and cultural institutions in France as co-organizers and sponsors that include Producteurs d’Expériences Numériques (PXN), Institut Français, and UniFrance, topped with the resources and grants from National Culture and Arts Foundation (NCAF). This year, there are films released as early as in 2017 and those just coming out in 2021. Over the four-year span, the continual productions show that VR technology has evolved from telling stories through 360VR to contents that allow interactions we experience today, or even 6-DoF[1] (6 Degrees of Freedom) technology that allows viewers to determine how the story develops through interactions.
[1] Six degrees of freedom (6DoF) refers to the free body movement as forward/backward, up/down, left/right translation in three perpendicular axes, combined with changes in orientation through rotation about three perpendicular axes, often termed yaw, pitch, and roll.

◆ 數位共感：法國VR特展
近年VR作品影音表現、體感技術日益躍進，但是VR製作與放映的門檻仍相當高，以至於VR創作－展映－評論的生態不易成形，「在地實驗」與「台北電影節」首次合作「數位共感：法國VR特展」，選映十部近年法國投資出品的重要VR影片，打造長達一個半月的放映平台。影片主題包含科幻、驚悚、浪漫、人性、詩意，多元的VR影像語言提供觀者三種層面的數位體驗：跟著鏡頭移動、漫遊於虛擬世界；回應、介入影像內容，以及角色扮演。
影展作為VR爭相競獎、展映的重要平台，全球如此，台灣亦然。「在地實驗」藉由與「台北電影節」共同選片，盼能開創更寬廣的VR體驗與討論風氣，讓VR日漸成為更多人能共同感受的數位經驗。

◇ Digital Common Sense: French VR Showcase
In recent years, VR production and motion detection technology continue to advance, but challenges remain in laying a solid base for VR creation, exhibition, and review, due to the high entry threshold for production and displaying VR projects. Now, ET@T joins hands with Taipei Film Festival to curate Digital Common Sense: French VR Showcase, where 10 VR films, funded and produced by French companies, are selected. Within the display of one-and-a-half month, viewers are welcome to a vast array of film themes including sci-fi, horror, and romance as well as the poetic movies or the ones that highlight humanity. With the diverse approaches of storytelling in these works, there are 3 kinds of digital experiences to be explored: (1) following the camera to roam in the virtual world; (2) intervening in the contexts with personal interactions; (3) roleplay.
Film festivals are a great stage for awards competition and showcases of VR projects, which is seen across the world, and Taiwan is no exception. Through working with Taipei Film Festival, ET@T looks forward to building an environment conducive to diverse VR creations and idea exchanges, so that VR can be introduced to more people as collective experiences.
