本演講將以麻省理工學院為一個個案來探討藝術與科學和科技之間的互動。講者將會介紹二戰後MIT如何推動一波波藝術家與科學家的交流，它又是在怎麼樣的一個契機下在1985年成立「媒體實驗室」。講者將進一步描述透過自身經歷和相關訪談觀察到現況與前景。

Art, Science, and Technology: What Kind of an Ecology is Conducive for Meaningful Engagement? MIT as a Case Study.

How do we make sense of increasing interest in the intersection of art, science, and technology? How can art, with its own autonomous mode of production, engage with emerging fields in the sciences, to generate meaning and criticality?This talk will focus on MIT as a case study in order to generate a broader discussion around the intersection between art, science, and technology. Angel will share her views and research on how MIT facilitated collaboration between artists and scientists during the Postwar decades and up to today.
