Since 2005, site-specific installation has become a main focus of my work. Most of my installations integrate with the architectural structures in the space, encouraging viewers to start noticing the unique qualities of architectural features and initiate them to explore and appreciate the beauty of architectural details in other buildings.
Over the last four years (2011-2014), my installations are influenced by the local tradition and culture in Isan or Northeastern Thailand where I’d been living and working since 2006.
In the process of making and installing the works, I usually worked as a team. I collaborated with artists, writers, engineers, fishermen, part-time workers, university and high school students. My works are changed and shaped by a group of people whom I collaborated with. In some of my installations, viewers have become an essential part of the installation.
